The Past Two Months

We have been a little busy the past few months! We moved...

and moving day was quite the experience. Luckily we had great friends who came over to help

and share our very first meal in the new abode. Love the makeshift table and Maggie sleeping through all of it! Emmy and Boone put on a sweet show our first night. They would do a little song and dance, clap for the other sibling, then jump on "stage" and begin a new act of entertainment. This went on for almost 30 minutes.

First day of school. They were both so excited to meet new friends and I was excited to see them all grown up. Kind of.

We live 2 minutes away from our dear friends now which makes for  some fun impromptu hang out times. On this particular night Mel and I were headed out for a movie with the girls and this was our farewell!

Aunt Lesley has been coming in town a bunch and we love it! She spent a whole weekend with us in September and  the kids were so delighted to play with their Aunt Lefty.

During Sunday school Bailey decided to practice using scissors and succeeded in trimming off  some of her curls.

This is how we roll when we have a dinner party these days. The parent-to-kid ratio these days feels a little scary.

Sweet Maylee had a princess birthday party; no boys allowed! Aunt Chewy did makeup for every little girl, Kristen painted toes and Amity helped make the cuteset little party favors: decorated fabric purses! Aunt Kara went above and beyond!

Even "Harold" got a makeover.

For the rest of the party, Emmy walked around pursing her lips. Apparently that is what one does when one wants to look beautiful.

My little handyman. Obviously with a new house comes all sorts of hammering and nest-feathering and Boone is never one to be left out of the fun.

We went to the fire station with our new neighbors and
I think Emmy has a new crush.

When they want to get along, it is really a sweet thing to behold.

This is our new neighbor Bella. We had dinner with them one night and she was so sweet to share her dress up clothes with Emmy AND Boone...
