What a blur this past month has been! Christmas is past and the New Year has begun. Whoa Nelly. We spent Christmas in Houston with the Loop family. Some of you may know that my brave Mama has been battling bone cancer this past year, so it was sweet to spend quality time with her. Emmy LOVES her Grandma and Pancho. She growls every time Pancho (that's my dad) walks in the room...don't ask me...it's their "thing." Emmy got a John Deere tractor on Christmas morning. Talk about a fun time had by all. She also received a moving and growling lion from her great-grandpa in New York and a cool work bench from her Nana and Pa in Dallas. I must say those have been the three favorites.
Though the presents are wonderful and well thought out, our hope is that Emmy will treasure time with family and friends far more than any "thing" she receives. All of that stuff is going to be trashed some day (and certainly has no eternal value) while we trust and believe that our relationships with the Lord and with people are more valuable than I think we even understand.
Here are a few random pics. More to come!
Here's our little farmer on her tractor and her cute dress Aunt Brittany gave her. Aunt Brittany is her style guru.
