I was more than a little nervous the weather wasn't going to hold out for us. Our house can not accomodate the number of peeps who were coming to the party, so I hoped and hoped for some sweet sunshine. The party gods were on our side this day!

The actual point was to get your team's eggs into this red tub.
Slay the Dragon/Dinosaur (again, closest thing I could find!). Funniest thing about this pinata was every time you gave it a really good hit, the dino would spit up candy from his ferocious mouth.
Mel and Joel were good sports and tried their best to slay the dragon so the somewhat impatient kiddos could collect their booty. Unfortunately this was a little too much violence for some of the kids so we nicely opened his belly and let the scavenging ensue.
Party favors: Girls - Bag O' Candy, princess rings, necklacesBoys - Foam swords...given out at END of party.
All: Make your own party hat. Some had ribbon on the top to look like a princess hat.
Dessert: Cupcakes of course! Daddy was the cupcake server extraordinaire!
One of Emmy's presents with baby Maylee peeking out.
No party is complete without a busted lip. Poor kid woke up from his nap to a house full of people and couldn't seem to quite get in the party mood. After he fell and busted his lip though, all was well with the world. Happy boy sucking on his ice.
Emmy had a blast playing with her best buds.
But every party must come to an end.
A special thanks to the gals who stayed and helped clean up: Mel and Julie just wouldn't leave no matter how much I tried to kick em out! Thanks to my Dad and sister for driving all the way from Houston to celebrate with Emmy.

Aunt Nee Nee and Uncle James made the long trek from Dallas before the party (and nap time) started just so they could be with the birthday girl and give her her presents in person. They were also recruited to do a little pre-party prep before they had to head back home. So sweet!
And a special thank you to Nana and Pa. Pa for helping Joel put up our pantry doors before the munchkins could wreak havoc on our dry goods. And Nana for...well everything! She not only stayed up late the night before helping us deal with a water leak issue, but worked hard ALL morning to help us pull off the greatest princess party ever.
