IPhone Wednesday

So I must confess over 99 percent of these photos were not taken with my phone. I HAVE AN EXCUSE THOUGH. I spent this past weekend in Chicago and naturally left my phone charger at home, knowing my responsible sister would have hers. So of course I forgot to charge said phone. I also really wanted to use Lesley's new fancy-shmancy camera anyways!
If I come in your house and take pictures please know it is because I adore your home and want to emulate your style. We had dessert with our pastor and his wife Wednesday night and I was so in love with everything about their house. The photo is so blurry because I was supposed to be having a conversation and didn't want to look away and be rude- but I really wanted to get a pic of their dining room.
Here begin the pictures I WOULD have taken with my phone. To the left you have your run-of-the-mill GIANT Marilyn Monroe statue in the middle of downtown Chicago. Just to give you an idea of scale- her big toe was the size of my entire foot.

After the BEST meal of my life. I decided to cheat a little on my South Beach Diet and BOY am I glad I did! Daddy and Lesley have gushed about this restaurant forever and Babareeba did not disappoint.

It was so much fun watching Lesley with her co-workers and friends. Being 6 years apart and several hundred miles away we don't get to experience eachothers' worlds very often. The gal in the center is a true gem. I told Lesley I might have to be the third wheel in their relationship!

Are we dorks or what? And no I don't have some large growth on my arm. That is a certifiable burn mark from our oven. Lovely.

What better way to see Chicago than by boat? I highly recommend the architecture tour.

Another grand way to take in the Chicago landscape. Lesley kept telling us we needed to go to the top of the Hancock Building. Daddy and I kept balking and making up excuses as to why we shouldn't. She finally got us up there. We were speechless. Lesley was right We thanked Lesley for her perseverance. What we imagined was a boring waste of $15 was truly spectacular.
