February through March in Captions

Emmy and Boone started gymnastics! Bailey and Emmy are in the same class at Capitol Gymnastics.
The kids have enjoyed it so much.

I finally broke down and got Boone's long surfer hair (that I LOVE) cut. I totally screwed up his do the last time I tried to cut it, so off to the stylist we went.

She gave him a fun cut that could be styled into a Mohawk. Boone LOVED his haircut!

That's right- it froze in Austin!

That's not something you see everyday in Texas.

Valentine's Day party at Emmy's school! That is her favorite little friend, Audrey.

This little monkey took control of my phone and took the liberty to document what he thought was important.

Treats with sweet friends!

Opening their Valentine's goody bags. It was very quiet as everyone read their cards and ate their candy.

Had to get a selfie with one of my Valentine's.

That title perfectly encapsulated what was to go down once we got home. Coming down from a sugar high aint pretty folks.

The boys went hunting and Emmy and I had a fun date together. First we ate dinner at Whole Foods. No she is not drinking a beer.

Emmy had been begging me to go ice skating so we finally made it to the ice. She had so much fun twirling and meeting other little girls with similar aspirations of becoming ice queens.

The chickens have officially taken over our stroller. We hadn't built the coop yet at this point and so this became a favorite egg laying spot. You can just spot the egg in the seat.

Double decker.

During Spring Break we headed to Dallas. We spent one day at the Dallas World Aquarium. We got there pretty early, thus avoiding huge crowds. We had a lovely time with the place basically to ourselves.

The weather that day was phenomenal. We ate lunch and played at this amazing park in the middle of downtown Dallas, built over the expressway! They had a water fountain park and all sorts of games to play for FREE. We will definitely have to go back.

Our annual trip to the Austin Rodeo.

The Petting Zoo is always a favorite.

Emmy got called up on stage to help with a magic trick. So fun!

Of course we had to ride some rides. The carousel was a must.

I took the kids to the College Young Life placement night. The theme was Star Wars and we had so much fun getting to cheer on all of the new college Young Life leaders who were placed on their teams. Such an encouraging night as we witnessed hundreds of college folks choosing to serve Jesus by loving on highschool kids.

Rodeo day at Emmy's school. One boy even wore REAL spurs. Emmy and Joel made their own that morning out of foil. They were quite impressive.

Spring is here and so are the Bluebonnets!

Farm Day at the Preschool!

This little man started T-Ball. Joel coached his team at the YMCA and it was a fun season.
His team was called The Reds. So serious.
Getting some pointers at bat.
Playing second baseman.
